Jim Baumgardt

Jim has been a nature and landscape photographer for over 30 years. His continuing love affair with Nature is nurtured by the variety of moods and emotions that are expressed in Her handiwork.

Throughout most of his photography career, Jim’s favorite cameras were his 4x5 view camera and a Nikon F4 loaded with Fuji Provia. He now shoots exclusively with his Nikon D200 and finds that he loves the control and versatility that digital photography offers.

 “My favorite seasons for outdoor photography are Spring, Summer, Winter and Fall. The Four Corners area is so rich in beautiful subject matter that I will never run out of fantastic subjects to photograph.”

My photographs are taken with a standard 35 mm camera or a digital Nikon. The film shots were then scanned and either format is printed on high quality, archival photographic paper and printed with the subtleties that are my personal recollection of the subject.”
