Star Trails over Yosemite Falls

As the Earth rotates on its axis the stars appear to drift slowly across the sky. A stationary camera will record this motion as trails.  The only star in the sky that doesn’t appear to move is the North Star, which is why it is a dependable compass. This exposure was 20-minutes long with illumination for Yosemite Falls coming from the Moon.
