This stand of Aspen usually turn a bright red-orange in the fall, unlike most aspen which typically turn yellow. It is located right on highway 550 that runs between Durango and Silverton, Colorado. As a bonus it is positioned directly in front of Engineer Mountain making it a very popular spot for photographers.
