Eclipse of the Sun
When conditions are
ideal the Moon will cross in front of the Sun causing a solar eclipse. If the
alignment is perfect the eclipse will be total. If it is not ideal, a partial
eclipse such as this one is produced. Exposing
the film multiple times to capture the Sun as it moved through the sky during
the eclipse produced this image. The mountain is Mt. Shasta in California.
